At Bodegas Fernández of Jumilla we have been producing wine in the Jumilla Designationof Origin area since 1920. Following careful classification we have gradually obtained both young wines and those that are bottled for Reserva and Crianza.

In the first few years the wine was produced in the area known as La Jimena, the installations later moving to the town of Jumilla in 1946 where the second generation of this family began working and established themselves in the town.

Another bodega was established on the outskirts of the town by the third generation of the family in 1974. This is where we are currently located and where modern installations have been build and duly modified in accordance whit the newtechniques and in order to obtain the quality wines required by today´s new markets.

The most recent investment programme concluded in 2000 whit the construction of a cellar whit 800 oak cask for ageing wine, a storage facility with 30 stainless steel tanks, 10 autovinification vats and a grape crusher. All of this, both the selection of varietals nd the control of temperature, being computer controlled.
